From Padrollano —the urban area of Sierrra Nevada ski resort— you can take several different routes. Also, you can take the cable-car or the chair lift (only during summer).
Apart from Padrollano, another interesting starting point is Hoya de la Mora.
When you follow one of these routes, you will find ice fields, irrigation ditches which guide the water coming from the melting snow, cows, sheep and an a very nice endemic plant called 'estrella de las nieves'. All this magnificent scenery, along with the thaw, will make you be dumbstruck.
Check out for more information: sierranevada.es The ski lifts open from 24th June to 3rd September 2017
